Welcome to the new home of Cannibal Cod. I'm in the process of transferring the website to a new web hosting platform (recreating it, more or less). Of course as I'm not a web developer, this will likely be a more tedious process than it needs to be. But that's all a part of being a solo indie developer; you need to wear a lot of hats, and pick up a lot of new skills.
In other news, Floppy Flamingo has just been released on the App Store. Figuring out how to properly promote it on that platform is the next step.
The number one priority remains Slow Walkers, which I hope to get released very soon (which of course has been the go-to statement for the past 2 years). I've just noticed that Apple wants 6-8 weeks notice to consider featuring a game. That presents a pretty big complication for me, as I want to get the game released on IOS at least a week prior to Halloween. Obviously, this is my own fault for not reading up on the process sooner. This whole thing means that the Google Play version will likely be released before the ios version; getting featured on the app store is a long shot, but one worth taking and waiting a few weeks for. At release, the game will have 66 levels (two zones); the remainder will be added in the coming months. After a multi-month detour to create Floppy Flamingo (the little test game that ended up taking way longer than anticipated to make), I'm back to working on Slow Walkers and have already implemented the last enemy type.
In whatever little time I have outside of those goals, I'm going to try to get an alpha build of my third title, Scum Bucket, on the Play Store. This party game (inspired by Cards Against Humanity) has actually been in a fully playable state since the fall of 2014, but a family issue stopped my game development for nearly 8 months, and when I got back into it I decided to focus on Slow Walkers instead. It should be interesting to get some feedback on it, as it has yet to be fully play tested.
That's all for now. More updates to come soon.
